If you’re not the proud owner of a cold-pressed juicer or a Vitamix to make delicious fruit and veg concoctions at home, finding a decent freshly squeezed juice on these gorgeous summer days is no longer a novelty.

There are organic juice and smoothie bars opening by the second in the metropolitans around Australia, and here’s your list of some of my favourites.

Tell me your favourite juice bar in the comment section below – have I missed your favourite out?

Raw Energy Juice Bar, 3/154-158 Bay St. Port Melbourne. (03) 9681 8502

Come for the juice and stay around for the free WI-FI. The juice junkie in you will love this place on the weekends as will the work-a-holic in you on a busy Monday morning. Grab a drink, get healthy and get some work done.

Boost Juice, Australia-wide. boostjuice.com.au

You know this one. It’s in every shopping mall. But before you diss it, there is plenty to choose from on the menu. And healthy options! My favourite is the 2:5 juice: the juice of 2 oranges, 2 apples, 3 carrots, celery, beetroot and a Vita Booster. I promise you’ll be immune to anything post this.

The Vegie Bar, 380 Brunswick St. Fitzroy. (03) 9417 6935. vegiebar.com.au

The Vegie Bar is a renowned Brunswick Street institution in Melbourne. Cheap and delicious, try the freshly squeezed juices; tonics, elixirs and smoothies. Sip in their courtyard or take away – you’ll be returning anyway.

Pressed Juices, 557 Military Road (entrance on Vista Street), Mosman. 1300 pressj. pressedjuices.com.au

With 9 stories across the country, this cold-pressed juice company is slowly becoming a household name amidst the juicers of the country. What started with just an idea of a juice cleanse pre-event or pre-holidays has now become a forefront runner in the juicing industry (yes, that exists). The recipes for these (slightly upwards on the price front) Pressed Juices are the mastermind of the nation’s top nutritionists, and all are made fresh and daily.

Bella Natural Food Co., 1 Kurrawyba Avenue, Terrigal. instagram.com/bellanaturalfoodco

A beautiful family-run cafe in a very small town, full of seasonal juicing and lots of warm hugs. This is the place you come for a healthy meal after a run and a $3 mason jar filled with organic beetroot and celery juice. A must visit when in NSW.

The Health Emporium, 265 Bondi Road, Sydney. instagram.com/thehealthemporium

Whether you’re after some hot Bondi surfers or a superfood green goddess smoothie, this little organic grocer and cafe has it all. From bumping into local Sydney celebrities in their #nomakeup avatar to getting 10 superfood ingredients all in a takeaway large glass for $7, The Health Emporium is really up their game! Plus, you can shop for every ingredient that goes into your smoothie, right here.

Raw ‘n Juicy, 4/280 Adelaide Street, Brisbane City. (07) 3236 1459

You won’t find your typical (boring) apple and orange juice here. Brisbane is becoming a new hub of all things artsy and it’s taking the organic hipster crowd with it. The best juice on the menu? Digester – aloe vera, apple, lime, spinach, ginger and mint; and best smoothie – coconut, figs, banana, cinnamon and coconut water or banana, strawberries, blueberries and kale. Yum and YUM!
