A new month, a new diet sweeping in from Hollywood.

The hCG diet is the newest kid in the diet block, and it’s definitely not winning any points.

The hCG diet combines extreme calorie restriction (500 calories a day) with a daily hormone shots, generally produced by pregnant women called human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG), hence the name of the diet.

You eat almost close to no food, so you will lose weight, but it comes with a side of serve of big red flags. The diet is not just unsustainable, but also unapproved by TGA in Australia.
